Jan graduated at the University of Alaska with a BA in Accounting with 7 years of accounting experience, most of it as a corporate accountant. In Jan’s my spare time Jan enjoys hiking with my loved ones, hanging out with friends, and traveling.
Spencer has his Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and has worked in corporate and small business environments. He joins Prime Accounting Solutions with experience on Quickbooks Online and Desktop versions as well as industry specific accounting software. He looks forward to growing with the PAS team and getting exposure to a variety of different clients. When he’s not reconciling a bank account, you can find him rating beers at breweries in Coastal North Carolina with his wife and their dog. He also enjoys a round of disc golf on weekends and starts Sundays with yoga at their favorite local taproom.
Jason holds a B.S. in Accounting and is an Enrolled Agent. He specializes in business taxation and investments. He has 18 years in the financial industry with experience in accounting, banking, and investments. Jason has much knowledge in the front side of finances and how they correlate to taxation in the end.
Charlie joins the team at Prime Accounting Solutions with a diverse background in providing tax and accounting services to individuals and their businesses. Working at a local accounting firm, Charlie was able to see the first-hand challenges and concerns that members of the Greater Los Angeles area community face in navigating tax compliance and planning matters. Through a larger regional accounting firm, he gained invaluable technical experience in helping resolve and clarify complex tax issues faced by high net worth individuals and their closely-held businesses. In his spare time, Charlie enjoys playing and watching basketball, playing electric guitar in his band, Three Sides, and spending time with friends and family.
Dana comes to PAS (from Westchester County NY) with twenty years of bookkeeping experience working with a diversified clientele and joins our team with extensive accounting/bookkeeping and administrative experience. She prides herself on the relationships she has built with her clients over the years as they grow close like family. She has a keen eye for detail and enjoys working directly with her clients to improve efficiency and cash flow. Her goal is always to provide the best service she can to each individual business owner. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her family, friends and her dog Lenny. They love to go for long hikes exploring the beautiful parks in Colorado Springs. She also enjoys playing Tennis with her husband and looks forward to long weekends camping in her new RV!
Katy has her Associate’s degree in accounting and over 8 years experience as a staff accountant in CPA firms throughout Colorado. Her workload includes filing sales tax, submitting payroll, processing A/R & A/P, reconciling the balance sheet, and compiling financials statements from start to finish. Katy has worked in 100’s of businesses books throughout her time as a staff accountant, ranging from restaurants, franchises, construction and roofing companies, law offices, and so much more. She is very knowledgeable with GAAP principles as well as working with multiple accounting softwares. Katy takes pride in her work and enjoys the puzzle accounting provides. In her free time she is taking care of her daughter who is busy with high school and also her dog and cat who keep her hands full! They enjoy getting out for walks and hikes as well as exploring Colorado, where they were both born and raised.
Courtney Jones, MPA – Courtney holds a Master’s degree in professional accountancy and has over seven years of experience in bookkeeping and payroll processing. She has worked in both public and private sectors. With a focus on quality and execution, Courtney is excited to help PAS clients grow and achieve their goals. She lives in coastal Alabama with her husband, two daughters, and her dog, Charlie. Outside of work, Courtney enjoys spending time with family, going to the beach, and traveling!
Born and raised in southern Los Angeles, William brings an extensive background in personal and corporate taxes. Will has several years of experience working for H&R Block and volunteering for AARP. This has prepared him to continue his exciting journey with Prime Accounting Solutions and expand his knowledge. Will’s patience and willingness to go the extra mile for his clients provides an overall great experience to the intimidating tax process.William also likes to watch all kinds of Los Angeles sports teams, such as the Lakers, Kings, and Dodgers. He also enjoys spending time wife, along with his fluffy dog named Bjorn.
Tina has been in the accounting and bookkeeping field since 1998, working for several large companies in Accounts Payable and general accounting positions. She joins the team with QuickBooks experience gained from previously working for a CPA firm, where she managed bookkeeping accounts for multiple clients. She looks forward to expanding her knowledge and experience at Prime Accounting Solutions. Tina loves learning new things and enjoys the detective work involved in problem solving. Outside of work, she spends her time exploring around the lake she lives next to with her husband on their horses or boat. She has been a music fanatic from a very young age and loves going to live shows and finding new music.
Marina has been part of the PAS team for several years now and is currently studying to become a CA licensed tax preparer. Accounting is her passion and she remains excited to further learn and grow with Prime Accounting Solutions. Her clients’ satisfaction is her constant priority; she is a true team player and enjoys her work. Carrie comes to PAS with a broad spectrum of experience. She excelled in the service and produce distribution industries; acquiring skills in sales, accounting, and management. Together she and her husband are successful real-estate investors and retired small business owners. Having two small children leaves her little free time, but what she does have is used working with her husband on their small remote cabin in Big Sur.
Haleigh brings several years of Office Administrative experience to our team. She is excited to work with PAS and gain even more skills to help the company continue to grow. She is a huge people person and is always very eager to help. In her spare time, Haleigh enjoys hanging out with family and friends and her passion is cooking.
Valerie has over 10 years of experience in bookkeeping, payroll, sales tax and nearly every facet of running and operating a business. She has been a part of the Prime Accounting team for six years, she started as a staff bookkeeper in 2014 and now co-manages our firm. Valerie finds joy in creating functional relationships with clients and is always looking for ways to improve client cash flow, forecasting and overall analysis of business. In her spare time Valerie enjoys outdoor activities with her three sons.
Prime Accounting Solutions, LLC was founded in March 2008 by Andrew Compton. Andrew enjoys solving accounting issues for business owners, and has been a licensed Tax Preparer since 2009. He enjoys the advisory side of accounting, while using company financials to help clients grow.Andrew also holds an MBA degree in Business Management. He has assisted many individuals and business owners on IRS, EDD, Sales Tax, and City tax audits, with a 95% win rate.
When he’s not working you can find him spending time with his wife, daughter, and other family and friends.Taxes and Bookkeeping can be a bit daunting, and Andrew’s team really relaxes the process as they are attentive listeners, with a solutions-oriented demeanor. Andrew served as the Treasurer for the Malibu Chamber of Commerce in 2017-2019, and works diligently to promote small businesses within the community.
Fun fact: Andrew is a native Los Angeleno, and holds a 1st Degree Black Belt in the Shotokan Karate discipline. He is currently training for his 2nd Degree Black Belt.
